2023 Arapahoe Park Stakes Winners

The 2023 season at Arapahoe Park in Aurora, Colorado has come to an end. Racing began on June 17 and ended on September 11. Arapahoe Park held stakes for all three major racing breeds: Thoroughbreds, Quarter Horses, and Arabians.

Highlights of the meet include:

  • Collusionist becoming the third highest earning CO-bred of all time while winning his fourth CTBA Mount Elbert.

  • 2020 CO-bred Horse of the Year Rockin Marie returning to the winners’ circle for the first time since 2020 in the CTBA Spicy.

  • A 23-length win by Virtually, close relative of 2022 Kentucky Derby winner Rich Strike, in the Columbine Stakes.

  • Two thrilling wins against the boys in the Pen Pal Stakes and Rocky Mountain Championship by CO-bred mare Kali K.

  • Dominance from the Daniel Kenney barn who swept the Inaugural Stakes (Katar), Debutante Stakes (Cocktail Slippers), Butch Gleason Classic (First Call).
